KWAA Football Tackle Teams
|
Our tackle football program is the heart of this KWAA program.
From its inception about 30 years ago, it has been a benchmark for all fottball programs both locally and nationally.
The program is designed to teach kids the game of football on a competitive level while not losing
focus on teamwork, academics, and good citizenship.
The Tackle program is broken into three age levels:
-
Mini PeeWee for third and fourth grades.
-
PeeWee for fifth and sixth grades.
-
Midget for seventh and eighth grades.
All three levels play games within the league.
Each age level is broken into two conferences.
At the end of each season each team will play in a bowl game matching up teams from each conference.
The winner from each age conference at each age level will play the winner from the opposite conference
within their age group for the league championship at each age level.
All teams will have a bowl game with the second place from each age level playing the second place from
the other conference at each age level. This process is repeated so all teams will have a bowl game at the end of the season.
If possible and the number of teams allow, the process of a playoff format may be used instead
of matching up the conference winners.
